Job summary

MacQueen Equipment Group is seeking a field-service technician to service public safety vehicles in the Baxter area. You will troubleshoot and repair 12V electrical systems, emergency lighting, sirens, and vehicle-mounted computers, traveling to customer sites as needed.

You’ll document work, manage parts, and maintain a well-organized service vehicle. The role requires strong troubleshooting skills, clear communication, and a customer-first attitude.

Qualifications

• Experience with 12V electrical systems and related automotive electronics.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and follow technical installation instructions.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and capability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Travel to law enforcement and public safety customers to troubleshoot and repair vehicle equipment.
• Diagnose and repair emergency lighting, sirens, control systems, and related electrical components.
• Troubleshoot vehicle-mounted computers, docking stations, consoles, cameras, routers, and communication equipment.
• Identify and repair wiring, relays, switches, fuses, and power distribution issues.
• Replace faulty components and complete minor equipment installations or modifications.
• Document completed work, parts used, and service findings.
