Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Two years of relevant field service experience.
• OR equivalent combination of education and experience to perform the duties.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, and test natural gas-powered mobile power units at client sites.
• Conduct routine and preventative maintenance and diagnostics on power generation systems.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control system issues in the field.
• Respond to emergency service calls to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
• Adhere to company and customer safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain service records, including diagnostics, repairs, and parts used.
• Maintain professional knowledge by attending workshops and reviewing publications.

Position Summary

The Field Service Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of mobile power units powered by natural gas. This role performs extensive fieldwork and provides technical support to ensure the efficient and safe operation of power generation equipment.

Essential Functions

• Install, commission, and test natural gas-powered mobile power units at various client sites
• Conduct routine and preventative maintenance and diagnostics on power generation systems to ensure optimal performance
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control system issues in the field
• Respond to emergency service calls to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to power units
• Adhere to company and customer safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
• Maintain accurate service records, including diagnostics, repairs, and parts used.
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and participating in professional societies
• Frequent travel to various job sites, at times with short notice
