Position Summary

The Field Service Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of mobile power units powered by natural gas. This role performs extensive fieldwork and provides technical support to ensure the efficient and safe operation of power generation equipment.

Essential Functions:
  • Install, commission, and test natural gas-powered mobile power units at various client sites
  • Conduct routine and preventative maintenance and diagnostics on power generation systems to ensure optimal performance
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control system issues in the field
  • Respond to emergency service calls to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to power units
  • Adhere to company and customer safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
  • Maintain accurate service records, including diagnostics, repairs, and parts used.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and participating in professional societies
  • Frequent travel to various job sites, at times with short notice

  • Exposure to extreme weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, snow, ice).
  • Exposure to potentially dangerous work areas and environments.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Two (2) years of relevant experience

OR equivalent combination of education and experience to successfully perform the duties of the job

Driving Requirements

Must possess a valid driver's license, must be at least 21 years of age with a minimum of three (3) years of driving history. Must maintain satisfactory driving record to safely operate company vehicles.
