Job summary

Ohio CAT is seeking a Field Service Technician to diagnose, maintain, and repair Caterpillar power generation equipment on-site. You will work from a fully equipped service truck, performing maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure reliability for critical infrastructure.

You must be skilled in electrical and mechanical diagnostics, reading schematics, and comfortable working outdoors. Independence and adherence to safety protocols are essential, with opportunities for ongoing training.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with a two-year tech program in diesel or power generation.
• Minimum 3 years in the diesel/generator industry.
• 5 years hands-on experience repairing diesel engines, generators, and industrial equipment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair CAT power generation equipment.
• Service equipment from an Ohio CAT service truck.
• Perform load bank testing, commissioning, and preventive maintenance.
• Use diagnostic tools to troubleshoot issues and document work.
