Job summary

BearCom is seeking a Field Service Technician II to install and support wireless communications systems. You will work on UHF/VHF and 800/900 MHz networks, performing diagnostics, repairs, and programming to meet customer needs.

Strong RF knowledge and the ability to read schematics are essential. Responsibilities include creating codeplugs, deploying DAS/BDA related gear, and providing top-tier customer service across regional travel.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Service Technician experience diagnosing, repairing, programming, and installing Motorola, Kenwood, ICOM, Vertex equipment in the 2-way radio wireless field.
• Extensive knowledge of 2-way radio theory and RF propagation across frequency bands.
• Ability to interpret schematics, blueprints, and diagrams.
• Knowledge of battery backup systems, base stations, repeaters, and related components.
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel).
• Valid driver’s license and clean background checks.
• Security clearance preferred (where applicable).

Responsibilities

• Install and service wireless communications equipment including UHF/VHF and 800/900 MHz systems.
• Create mid-level programming codeplugs (12+ channels, trunking, multiple zones).
• Diagnose, repair, program, and install RF equipment; troubleshoot issues.
• Recommend equipment and hardware that meet customer requirements.
• Provide exceptional customer service and on-site support; travel regionally and overnight as needed.
