Job summary

ADP, Inc. is seeking a skilled Overhead Door Service Technician to install, service, troubleshoot, and repair commercial overhead doors and related systems. The field role requires mechanical aptitude, safety focus, customer orientation, and the ability to work independently in the field.

You will diagnose issues, perform preventative maintenance, communicate with customers, and maintain tools and vehicle. This on-site role includes on-call rotation and adherence to OSHA regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience as an overhead door or garage door technician preferred.
• Ability to read manuals, wiring diagrams, and blueprints.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work at heights.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, repair, and maintain overhead doors and related hardware.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and structural issues and determine repair solutions.
• Perform preventative maintenance inspections for safe operation.
• Troubleshoot door operators, motors, controls, sensors, and safety devices.
• Communicate clearly with customers regarding repairs, costs, and recommendations.
