Job summary

Jimmy Jazz is seeking a Service Technician/Field Mechanic to service SRC compressors for S&R customers. You will troubleshoot, repair, and start up equipment, and perform preventative maintenance in the field, often outdoors across varying climates.

This role requires ~75% travel and the ability to work independently with safety compliance. Daily field service tickets, equipment coordination, and timely reporting to leadership are key duties.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in electrical and mechanical technology
• Field service experience preferred
• Valid driver's license required

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and make repairs on compressors, electric motors and control panels with an emphasis on electrical knowledge.
• Completion of field service tickets on a DAILY basis utilizing the Company platform (training will be provided).
• Start up new and used equipment according to OEM specs.
• Perform preventative maintenance according to reference material and company guidelines.
• Adhere to call-out rotation as assigned and when required (Weekends and Holidays).
• Comply with all applicable safety and environmental policies and procedures.
• Coordinate setting of new units.
• Work independently and adhere to deadlines.
• Drive a Company Vehicle; Maintain a current and valid driver’s license.
• Submit reports to leadership.
• Attend all required safety and technology training courses as offered by the Company.
• May be asked to present training sessions related to the assigned program or section area.

The Service Technician/Field Mechanic services S&R customers who lease and operate SRC compressors, ensuring maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of equipment are conducted.

Requirements

Mental : Clear and conceptual thinking ability; excellent judgment, troubleshooting, problem solving, analysis, and discretion; ability to handle work-related stress; ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously; and ability to meet deadlines.

Physical : While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel, such as keyboarding and writing. The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms and talk and hear. Must have visual acuity to read and draft reports, memos, letters, etc. Specific vision abilities required by this job include vision adequate for the incumbent to perform the responsibilities and functions of the job efficiently. Must be able to speak and communicate clearly. Must be able to lift, pull and push 50lbs minimum. Ability to stand, kneel, bend, stretch over and under pipeline equipment. Ability to spend 100% of time outside in all climates and temperatures to do repairs on equipment.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Educational and Experience Requirements

• Any combination of education and experience equivalent to the required minimum 2 years of experience in the field of electrical and mechanical technology preferred.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a field electric compressor mechanic/technician preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
