Jimmy Jazz is seeking a Field Service Technician to service S&R Vapor Recovery equipment, ensuring efficient maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs in the field. This role requires up to 75% travel and outdoor work across customer sites in the oil and gas sector.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum 2 years of electrical/mechanical field experience preferred.
• Experience with compressors, motors and control panels.
• Excellent troubleshooting and customer service skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 75% and work outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair compressors, electric motors and control panels.
• Complete field service tickets daily using company platform.
• Start up equipment per OEM specs and perform preventive maintenance.
• Adhere to safety policies and call-out rotation including weekends/holidays.
• Drive company vehicle and submit reports to leadership.
• Attend safety and training sessions as offered.

Position Overview

The Field Service Technician services S&R customers who lease and operate S&R Vapor Recovery Equipment, ensuring maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of equipment are conducted.

Requirements

Physical : While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel, such as keyboarding and writing. The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms and talk and hear. Must have visual acuity to read and draft reports, memos, letters, etc. Specific vision abilities required by this job include vision adequate for the incumbent to perform the responsibilities and functions of the job efficiently. Must be able to speak and communicate clearly. Must be able to lift, pull and push 50lbs minimum. Ability to stand, kneel, bend, stretch over and under pipeline equipment. Ability to spend 100% of time outside in all climates and temperatures to do repairs on equipment.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Educational and Experience Requirements

• Any combination of education and experience equivalent to the required minimum 2 years of experience in the field of electrical and mechanical technology preferred.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a field electric compressor mechanic/technician preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.

Summary

Essential Job Functions

• Troubleshoot and make repairs on compressors, electric motors and control panels with an emphasis on electrical knowledge.
• Completion of field service tickets on a DAILY basis utilizing the Company platform (training will be provided).
• Start up new and used equipment according to OEM specs.
• Perform preventative maintenance according to reference material and company guidelines.
• Adhere to call-out rotation as assigned and when required (Weekends and Holidays).
• Comply with all applicable safety and environmental policies and procedures.
• Coordinate setting of new units.
• Work independently and adhere to deadlines.
• Drive a Company Vehicle; Maintain a current and valid driver’s license.
• Submit reports to leadership.
• Attend all required safety and technology training courses as offered by the Company.
• May be asked to present training sessions related to the assigned program or section area.
