Your Role:

MilliporeSigma is hiring a Field Service Technician. In this role, you will play a crucial part in delivering exceptional technical support to our customers. You will work with advanced equipment, providing on-site solutions to ensure optimal product performance.

You will be responsible for installing, repairing, performing preventative maintenance, and qualifying water purification systems in the Nashville, TN Metro area, with backup support for neighboring territories.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing timely professional service, completing work orders accurately, and respecting customer site rules.
  • Documenting work thoroughly and providing necessary reports.
  • Maintaining schedules, communicating proactively with customers, and managing inventory and tools.
  • Generating leads via CRM, supporting system installations, and maintaining equipment calibration.

This position involves occasional overnight travel, additional travel for training and coverage, with a company vehicle provided. Expense reports are due biweekly.

Work outside normal hours may be required, including emergency services during nights, weekends, and holidays.

Physical requirements include lifting up to 66 pounds unassisted, moving up to 165 pounds with assistance, and physical activities like bending, reaching, and climbing.

Who You Are:

  • Minimum Qualifications: High School diploma or GED plus 3+ years of relevant experience in field service, skilled trades, or military electronics.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with electronics, technical documentation, and testing tools.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills, excellent communication, and customer service skills.
  • Proactive, collaborative, and detail-oriented with good documentation skills.
  • Basic IT skills and ability to work independently.

Pay Range: $29-$50/hour. Compensation will consider location, skills, experience, and other factors. Benefits include health insurance, 401(k), paid time off, and potential incentive bonuses.
