Job summary

McGrath Rent Corp in Boise, ID is seeking a Field Service Technician to maintain modular equipment at customer sites and at the branch. You will perform problem-solving maintenance across mechanical, electrical, plumbing systems, and construction tasks in the field of modular buildings, updating asset records and ensuring safety standards.

This full-time role requires prior construction experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to travel locally.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in construction or related work required; basic electrical, plumbing and flooring with an emphasis to learn HVAC.
• Ability to communicate with customers regarding work status and service concerns.
• Valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

• Perform troubleshooting, maintenance service, repairs and construction in areas of but not limited to plumbing, carpentry, painting, flooring, HVAC, roofing and electrical
• Responsible for the safety, quality and productivity of themselves at all customer locations
• Responsible for positive interface with the customer and ensuring the company’s reputation is improved with every customer contact
• Maintain inspection log(s) for equipment/vehicle and properly report exceptions; ensure equipment is maintained to Company and safety standards
• Safely perform all tasks and understand Company’s safety policies and procedures
• Deliver a high-quality output consistent with the Company’s construction standards
• Operate Company vehicle
• Read and understand blueprints, schematics, procedures and company specific work orders, work instructions and floor plans provided
• Work outside in variable weather conditions
• Use both manual and power tools and follow operating guidelines
• Performs other duties as assigned
