Job summary

McGrath Rent Corp. is seeking a Field Service Technician for a full-time, dayshift role in Columbus, OH. You will maintain modular equipment, perform mechanical, electrical and plumbing maintenance, and train customer staff on operating machinery.

The job requires up to 90% travel across the Midwest, overnight stays, and a focus on safety, quality, and customer satisfaction. Benefits include health, retirement, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in construction or related work.
• Ability to communicate with customers regarding work status.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform troubleshooting, maintenance, repairs and construction across plumbing, carpentry, painting, flooring, HVAC, roofing and electrical.
• Ensure safety, quality, and productivity at all customer locations.
• Maintain a positive interface with customers to boost company reputation.
• Keep inspection logs for equipment/vehicle and report exceptions.
• Safely operate company vehicle to travel to locations and service equipment.
• Read and understand blueprints, schematics, work orders and plans.
• Work outdoors in variable weather and use tools per guidelines.
