Job summary

Machine Solutions Inc. is seeking a Field Services Technician to lead installations, upgrades, and maintenance across our automation equipment portfolio.

You will diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and software issues on site and remotely, ensuring rapid response and high first-time fixes. The role requires hands-on skills, the ability to read schematics, and strong communication with customers.

Qualifications

  • 2–4 years of field service or technical support experience.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and control systems.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and engineering drawings.
  • Hands-on experience with tools and diagnostic equipment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and customer-facing skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead equipment installations, upgrades, and preventive maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and software issues.
  • Deliver onsite and remote technical support with fast response times.
  • Train customers on equipment operation and best practices.
  • Manage service cases from assignment through resolution.
  • Maintain detailed service documentation and reports.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally to improve product quality and performance.
  • Support customer visits, testing (FAT), and lab activities.

Position: Field Services Technician (Automation & Equipment Support)

Division: Alpine Laser

Location: Minnesota

Compensation: $33 - $41 per hour

Travel: 50%+ domestic and international travel expected.

What You’ll Do
