Job summary

Sandvik is seeking a Field Service Technician for the Elko, NV area to service underground mechanical cutting equipment. The role requires a strong mechanical or electrical background, diagnostic skills, and willingness to travel up to 50% with a company vehicle.

Minimum qualifications include a technical diploma in mechanical/electrical fields and at least 7 years of related experience; knowledge of diesel and high/low voltage systems, along with blueprint reading, is essential.

Qualifications

• Technical certification or diploma in mechanical or electrical fields.
• Minimum 7 years of industry related experience.
• Experience with diesel, low and high voltage electrical systems.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret equipment schematics.
• Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
• Preferred: mechanical cutting experience.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical and electrical underground cutting equipment and components.
• Perform new equipment commissioning and on-site training.
• Inspect equipment for faults, determine malfunctions, and repair.
• Test repaired equipment to ensure proper operation.
• Maintain accurate time records, reports, and parts lists.
• Travel approximately 50% with a company vehicle.
