Bobcat of North Texas is seeking a Field Service Technician to perform in-field inspections, diagnose failures, and repair equipment in the field with a focus on safety and quality. You’ll pre-order parts, maintain records, and uphold professional standards while delivering reliable service.

The role values independence, teamwork, and a clean driving record; Spanish is a plus, and a technical school certificate is preferred. Growth opportunities exist within a stable dealer network.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years working as equipment technician.
• Work in the field with minimal supervision.
• Spanish speaking is valued.
• Must have a toolbox to facilitate repairs.
• Clean driving history.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections to determine cause of failure per guidelines; identify cause.
• Repair machines and components in the field at high quality.
• Recondition and repair equipment and components.
• Plan methods and sequence of repairs.
• Pre-order parts and materials for repairs.
• Perform repairs in a safe and effective manner.
• Ensure repairs meet standards and cosmetic appearance.
• Maintain clean, safe work area.
• Keep time, parts, and supplies records for repairs.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections required to determine cause of failure is done following established guidelines and are completed with the cause identified.
• Responsible for the effective repair of machine components in the field, at high levels of quality.
• Recondition and repair equipment and components.
• Plan methods and sequence of performing repairs assigned.
• Pre-order all parts and materials required to perform assigned repairs.
• Perform the repairs in a safe and effective manner.
• Ensure all repairs are completed as assigned and the cosmetic appearance are up to standards.
• Maintain the work area in a clean and safe condition.
• Maintain good working records for time, parts, supplies, and outside purchases in repairs.
• Ensure all records are legible and in compliance with established methods.
• Report all record keeping daily from the field, even when not returning daily to the company.
• Maintain shop tools, equipment and vehicles.
• Maintain personal appearance in a professional and neat condition. Wear all personal protective equipment, as required; and urges others to do so.
• All communications with customers and co-workers are conducted in a manner reflecting respect and integrity.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years working as equipment technician.
• Be able to work independently of direct supervision in a field environment.
• Contribution to spirit of teamwork and cooperation through the branch location, specifically with parts personnel and other service technicians.
• Spanish speaking is valued.
• A technical school certificate or equivalent experience in mechanical repairs is preferred.
• Prior experience as a field service technician preferred.
• Must have an inventory of hand tools to facilitate the assigned repairs.
• Clean driving history.

Physical Requirements

• Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate construction equipment.
• Occasionally lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling 50-100 pounds and/or frequently lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling 20-50 pounds and/or continuous lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling 10-20 pounds.
• Regularly required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, grasp or pull and lift objects. Occasionally required to sit, climb, and balance, kneel, stoop, couch, and crawl.
• Exposed to outside weather conditions, fumes, and loud noise.
