Bobcat of Houston - Pearland is seeking a Field Service Technician to inspect, repair, and service construction and agricultural equipment in the field. This role emphasizes in-field work over shop tasks and requires reliable timekeeping and customer-facing professionalism.

The position offers Monday–Friday dayshift, competitive pay, over two weeks paid time off after 60 days, and ample opportunities for advancement within a stable dealer network.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years working as equipment technician.
• Spanish speaking is valued.
• A technical school certificate or equivalent experience in mechanical repairs is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections to determine cause of failure following established guidelines.
• Repair machine components in the field with high quality.
• Recondition and repair equipment and components.
• Plan methods and sequence of repairs.
• Pre-order parts and materials required.
• Perform repairs safely and effectively.
• Maintain clean and safe work area and keep records of time, parts, and purchases.

• Report daily field records even when not returning to the company.

Bobcat of Houston - Pearland is seeking a Field Service Technician! We offer competitive pay, over two weeks of paid time off after 60 days of employment, and numerous opportunities for advancement. If you have previous experience working on construction/ag equipment, enjoy working in the field rather than the shop, and want to join a stable company.

Monday - Friday dayshift

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections required to determine cause of failure is done following established guidelines and are completed with the cause identified.
• Responsible for the effective repair of machine components in the field, at high levels of quality.
• Recondition and repair equipment and components.
• Plan methods and sequence of performing repairs assigned.
• Pre-order all parts and materials required to perform assigned repairs.
• Perform the repairs in a safe and effective manner.
• Ensure all repairs are completed as assigned and the cosmetic appearance are up to standards.
• Maintain the work area in a clean and safe condition.
• Maintain good working records for time, parts, supplies, and outside purchases in repairs.
• Ensure all records are legible and in compliance with established methods.
• Report all record keeping daily from the field, even when not returning daily to the company.
• Maintain shop tools, equipment and vehicles.
• Maintain personal appearance in a professional and neat condition. Wear all personal protective equipment, as required; and urges others to do so.
• All communications with customers and co-workers are conducted in a manner reflecting respect and integrity.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years working as equipment technician.
• Be able to work independently of direct supervision in a field environment.
• Contribution to spirit of teamwork and cooperation through the branch location, specifically with parts personnel and other service technicians.
• Spanish speaking is valued.
• A technical school certificate or equivalent experience in mechanical repairs is preferred.
• Prior experience as a field service technician preferred.
• Must have an inventory of hand tools to facilitate the assigned repairs
• Clean driving history.

Physical Requirements

• Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate construction equipment.

• Occasionally lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling 50-100 pounds and/or frequently lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling 20-50 pounds and/or continuous lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling 10-20 pounds

• Regularly required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, grasp or pull and lift objects. Occasionally required to sit, climb, and balance, kneel, stoop, couch, and crawl

• Exposed to outside weather conditions, fumes, and loud noise.
