Job summary

Bobcat of North Texas is seeking a Field Service Technician to perform in-field inspections and repairs on construction equipment. You will recondition and repair components, plan repair sequences, and pre-order parts to complete work efficiently in the field.

Ideal candidates have 3-5 years in equipment repair, can work independently, and communicate with customers with integrity. Spanish language skills are valued, with opportunities for advancement and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years working as equipment technician.
• Ability to work independently in the field.
• Teamwork with parts personnel and other service technicians.
• Spanish speaking is valued.
• Technical school certificate or equivalent experience in mechanical repairs is preferred.
• Prior field service experience is preferred.
• Must have an inventory of hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections and determine the cause of failures in the field following guidelines.
• Repair machines in the field with high quality.
• Recondition and repair equipment and components.
• Plan methods and sequence of repairs.
• Pre-order parts and materials for assigned repairs.
• Perform repairs safely and effectively.
• Ensure completed repairs meet standards and maintain cosmetic appearance.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area.
• Maintain records for time, parts, and purchases.
• Report daily field records even when not returning home.
• Maintain shop tools, equipment, and vehicles.
• Maintain professional personal appearance and PPE usage.
• Communicate with customers and coworkers respectfully and with integrity.

Bobcat of North Texas is seeking a Field Service Technician! We offer competitive pay, over two weeks of paid time off after 60 days of employment, and numerous opportunities for advancement. Responsibilities

• Perform inspections required to determine cause of failure is done following established guidelines and are completed with the cause identified.
• Responsible for the effective repair of machine components in the field, at high levels of quality.
• Recondition and repair equipment and components.
• Plan methods and sequence of performing repairs assigned.
• Pre-order all parts and materials required to perform assigned repairs.
• Perform the repairs in a safe and effective manner.
• Ensure all repairs are completed as assigned and the cosmetic appearance are up to standards.
• Maintain the work area in a clean and safe condition.
• Maintain good working records for time, parts, supplies, and outside purchases in repairs.
• Ensure all records are legible and in compliance with established methods.
• Report all record keeping daily from the field, even when not returning daily to the company.
• Maintain shop tools, equipment and vehicles.
• Maintain personal appearance in a professional and neat condition. Wear all personal protective equipment, as required; and urges others to do so.
• All communications with customers and co-workers are conducted in a manner reflecting respect and integrity.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years working as equipment technician.
• Be able to work independently of direct supervision in a field environment.
• Contribution to spirit of teamwork and cooperation through the branch location, specifically with parts personnel and other service technicians.
• Spanish speaking is valued.
• A technical school certificate or equivalent experience in mechanical repairs is preferred.
• Prior experience as a field service technician preferred.
• Must have an inventory of hand tools to facilitate the assigned repairs

Physical Requirements

• Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate construction equipment.
• Occasionally lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling 50-100 pounds and/or frequently lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling 20-50 pounds and/or continuous lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling 10-20 pounds
• Regularly required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, grasp or pull and lift objects. Occasionally required to sit, climb, and balance, kneel, stoop, couch, and crawl
• Exposed to outside weather conditions, fumes, and loud noise.
