Job summary

Herc-U-Lift, Inc. is seeking a Field Service Technician to join our service and repair team. This fast-paced role requires an experienced, take-charge individual who travels to customer sites to repair material handling equipment and MEWPs.

You will build rapport with customers through technical expertise and communication, manage your workload, and report on jobs via a tablet. Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, diagnosing failures, disassembly/reassembly of components, parts

Qualifications

Valid driver’s license.
Knowledge of engines, transmissions, hydraulics, electrical systems.
Mechanically inclined with great problem solving skills.
Working knowledge of computer systems and ability to learn our software to complete work orders.
Organized with strong attention to details.
Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong customer services skills.
Present a professional image in appearance and preparation.

Responsibilities

Performs preventive maintenance inspections and service on machines.
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, or other failures of material handling equipment.
Disassemble/repair/reassemble engines, transmissions, differentials, brakes, and electrical systems.
Work with parts department to order and install replacement parts.
Maintain technical knowledge of all equipment brands.
Use tools including precision instruments and power tools for repairs.
Manage workload and report to service dispatch; assist others as needed.
