Job summary

Abel Womack is hiring Field Service Technicians to service Raymond battery-powered lift trucks and related material-handling equipment in Westborough, MA and surrounding areas.

You will travel within a defined territory, troubleshoot issues, and perform installations and repairs with a focus on reliability and safety. The role includes extensive training, a company vehicle, competitive pay, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Diagnose and repair mechanical and/or electrical equipment with emphasis on quality, efficiency and cost-effective maintenance.
• Read schematics, maps, blueprints, and manuals.
• Communicate regularly by phone and in person with team members, parts reps, technicians, dispatch and customers.

$23–$36 per hour

What You’ll Do

• Travel within an assigned territory to install, maintain, and repairRaymond battery-powered lift trucks along with working on warehouse storage systems, conveyors, carousels, and other automated material handling equipment


• Work directly with our customers to troubleshoot and resolve equipment challenges


• Apply and grow your mechanical and technical skills through continuous training


• Submit electronic work orders efficiently using a company-provided tablet


• Represent Abel Womack with professionalism and excellent customer service

Qualifications and Skills

• Ability todiagnose and repair mechanical and/or electrical equipment with a focus onquality, efficiency, and cost-effective maintenance.


• Experience with electrical fuel systems, sensor technology, hydraulics, PLCs, or charging systems (a plus)


• Ability to read schematics, maps, blueprints, and manuals


• Ability to communicate regularly by phone and in person with team members, parts representatives, technical specialists, dispatch, lead service techs, and customers, required


• Demonstrated ability to maintain a professional demeanor andbuild positive customer relationships by consistently deliveringexcellent customer service


• Must provide your own basic mechanic tools; specialty tools will be provided


• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record


• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. regularly
