The role emphasizes hands-on diagnostics, safety compliance, and supporting system startups and commissioning. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of field service experience with power systems, strong problem-solving and communication skills, and proficiency with ERP and field service

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of hands-on field service experience with power systems and industrial controls.
• High school diploma required; an associate degree in electrical engineering or related field preferred.
• Certifications such as NFPA 70E or OSHA 30 are a plus.
• Experience with troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of LV/MV switchgear and transformers.

Field Service Technician - LV/MV Switchgear, ATS, UPS, PLCs

• Perform on-site troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment, including transformers, circuit breakers, LV/MV switchgear, and PLC controls.
• Conduct system diagnostics and address technical issues to ensure minimal downtime and efficient system operation.
• Support system startups and commissioning, ensuring systems are operational and meet customer specifications.

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field is preferred.
• Certifications such as NFPA 70E, OSHA 30, or other relevant technical certifications are a plus.

Experience

• 3-5 years of hands-on experience as a field service technician, with a focus on power systems, electrical equipment, or industrial controls.
• Experience with basic troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, transformers, and circuit breakers.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with field service management software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
• Good communication skills and the ability to explain technical issues clearly to customers.
• Ability to work independently and manage service priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with electrical systems at low and medium voltage levels.
• Basic experience with PLCs, SCADA systems, and protective relay systems is a plus.
