Field Service Technician Level II - Central Ohio

Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Field Service Technician II to join our team serving clients in Central Ohio. This role involves executing responsibilities of a Level 1 installer while demonstrating advanced skills, certifications, and leadership abilities to lead installation teams. The technician will configure and program devices, oversee system commissioning, and provide basic operational customer training, ensuring high standards of installation and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

• Perform all Level I installer duties following our documentation standards
• Manage project and service tickets efficiently, ensuring prompt updates
• Understand project scopes and service expectations, delivering quality results
• Lead and mentor Level 1 installers, fostering team growth
• Communicate effectively with project coordinators, managers, and clients
• Work with nurse call, card access, and video surveillance systems
• Pursue ongoing professional development, focusing on leadership and communication
• Perform Factory Authorized Testing (FAT) on products before installation
• Configure and commission systems reliably
• Accept additional duties as assigned to support business needs

Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of experience in a construction trade
• Advanced electrical knowledge (high/low voltage)
• Field experience and telecommunication knowledge (TCP/IP, networking, VoIP)
• Ability to identify low voltage cabling and read architectural drawings
• Management or supervisory experience
• Experience with service ticketing and various security systems
• Excellent communication skills
• Valid US Driver’s license
