Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals, Inc. is hiring a Road Mechanic to perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on diesel and heavy construction equipment. You will service aerial work platforms, generators, pumps, HVAC systems, and oil/gas equipment.

Responsibilities include safe, efficient work to minimize downtime, hydraulic/electrical troubleshooting, and documenting all work with logs. Expect a fast-paced environment with priority shifts and tool management responsibilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; trade school or equivalent training preferred.
• 3–5 years of diesel or heavy construction equipment mechanical experience, preferably with generators, pumps, HVAC or oil & gas equipment.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record (21 years of age & CDL license may be required in some locations).
• Knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems and troubleshooting fundamentals.
• Ability to be flexible with changing priorities.
• Bilingual (Spanish or other) may be required depending on location.

• Provide and manage personal mechanic tools of trade.
• Adapt to changing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

Physical Demands

Bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, lifting 50pounds or more, and work indoors/outdoors as required.

Benefits & Compensation

• Base pay: $24.05 – $33.06 per hour.
• Sign‑on bonus: $1,500.00.
