Job summary

Hammond Power Solutions is seeking a Field Service Technician II to travel across North America and internationally, diagnosing issues and delivering on-site electrical solutions. You will work directly with customers, support commissioning, and collaborate with engineers to resolve complex problems.

The role requires a technical diploma or degree, strong electrical knowledge, and a proven ability to travel extensively, including international trips on short notice.

Qualifications

• Technical diploma or degree, or equivalent industry experience.
• Experience servicing transformers, switchgear, power distribution equipment, or industrial electrical systems.
• Strong understanding of electrical testing, troubleshooting, and power systems.
• Experience using testing and measurement equipment.
• Knowledge of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and electrical safety practices.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Strong organizational and project management abilities.
• Ability to travel extensively, including international travel on short notice.

Responsibilities

• Assist commissioning and testing of equipment in customer facilities.
• Diagnose problems and provide technical solutions to customers.
• Support field technicians and collaborate with engineering teams.

Compensation Transparency

Salary Range: $38.00 -$56 USD per hour

Actual compensation will be based on skills, experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and business needs.

In addition to base pay, eligible employees may participate in incentive compensation programs and other company-sponsored benefit plans.
