Job summary

nVent is seeking a field technician to maintain, diagnose, troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical and software systems on the LENTON fleet. You will travel to customer sites across North America, provide training on product use, and support the sales network to promote market expansion.

The role requires at least three years of hands-on experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in diverse customer environments while upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Machine repair training required.
  • PLC & computer training preferred.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and wire diagrams.
  • Computer systems control experience.
  • Servo motors and drives knowledge.
  • Minimum of three years of hands-on experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness to work in the field at customer locations.
  • Self-motivated, self-directed and team-oriented.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain, diagnose, troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical and software systems for LENTON fleet machines.
  • Support growth of LENTON brand and nVent equipment.
  • Provide training on LENTON products and proper use of nVent equipment.
  • Travel to customer sites across North America (approx. 60%).
  • Collaborate with Regional Sales Managers to promote market expansion.
  • Ensure safety standards per company, local, state and federal guidelines.

Job description

WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:
  • Support growth of LENTON brand and nVent fleet of equipment.
  • Technician duties include Maintaining, diagnosing, troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical and software systems for the fleet of LENTON machines.
  • Technical and sales support.
  • Partner closely with nVent’s existing sales network of Regional Sales Managers to maximize sales and promote market expansion.
  • Promote LENTON products to rebar fabricators, contractors, and job sites.
  • Ability to travel throughout North America to accomplish the above responsibilities approximately 60% of the time. Flexible to travel on short notice.
  • Provide training and conduct classes on the use of LENTON products and proper use of nVent Equipment.
  • Provide feedback on market information and customer feedback.
  • Assure safety standards are used which comply with all company, Local, City, State and Federal guidelines.
YOU HAVE:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Must possess at least three years of experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be comfortable working in the field and at customer locations.

  • Ability to be self-motivated, self-directed and self-managed.
  • This job requires exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly.
  • Maintain a valid Passport to travel outside the USA.
  • Excellent documentation skills Effective communicator.
