Job summary

Robert Dietrick Company is seeking an experienced Service Technician to travel to customer locations, inspect, diagnose, repair, and install loading dock equipment and related systems. The role requires strong mechanical aptitude, hands-on problem-solving, and the ability to work independently while representing RDC at customer sites.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on problem solving.
• Experience diagnosing, repairing, and disassembling mechanical equipment or machinery.
• Professional communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer locations using a company-provided vehicle.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and other equipment issues.
• Inspect, repair, maintain, and service loading dock equipment, industrial doors, specialty lifts, and related equipment.
• Disassemble equipment to diagnose issues and complete necessary repairs.
• Reassemble, align, adjust, and test equipment to ensure proper operation.
• Install new or refurbished equipment according to specifications and drawings.
• Identify the cause of equipment failures and determine repairs or replacements.
• Perform preventive maintenance and safety inspections.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, work orders, and technical documents.
