Job summary

Blake & Pendleton Inc. seeks an experienced Service Technician to support maintenance and repair of industrial compressed air systems, primarily Sullair equipment, across manufacturing, utilities, forestry, and mining sectors.

This field-based role requires strong electrical and mechanical knowledge, the ability to troubleshoot diverse equipment, and a commitment to safety and customer satisfaction. On-call work and varying hours are required.

Qualifications

• Electrical knowledge and troubleshooting of control circuits up to 480V.
• Reading and interpreting wiring diagrams and P&ID drawings.
• Troubleshooting motor control circuits up to 480V (full/reduced voltage and soft starters).
• Use of multimeters, amp meters and infrared meters.
• Read P&ID drawings and troubleshoot air compressor control components.
• Perform routine maintenance (oil changes, cleaning, setting controls).
• Rigging setup and safe removal/reinstallation of motors and compressors.
• Motor alignment and use of hand/power tools.
• Hydraulic and pneumatic principles knowledge; piping types (copper, black, galvanized).
• Welding/brazing knowledge; tubing installation.
• Safety certifications preferred (EPA Freon, OSHA/MSHA).

Responsibilities

• Perform quarterly, semi-annual, and annual preventive maintenance.
• Diagnose and repair compressed air systems and components.
• Perform start-up on newly installed machines.
• Communicate daily with the Service Coordinator.
• Submit completed timesheets and service tickets accurately and on time.
• Maintain a clean, organized service truck and professional appearance.
• Adhere to safety standards and maintain required certifications.
• Provide on-call service support based on a rotating schedule.
