Job summary

Blake & Pendleton Inc. is seeking a Field Service Technician to cover the Jacksonville, FL region. The role involves start-up, preventive and corrective maintenance of Sullair compressed air equipment and related systems.

Candidates will diagnose issues, perform repairs, and ensure safety procedures are followed. The ideal candidate has 2–5 years of electrical/mechanical industrial experience, reads blueprints, uses meters, and can operate rigging and hand tools.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of electrical/mechanical industrial experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Must troubleshoot, repair all components and brands of air compressors.
• Proficient use of meters (multimeters, ammeters, infrared, vibration).
• Adherence to safety requirements of Company and customers.
• Read and comprehend P&I drawings, ID/GA drawings, and wiring diagrams.
• Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, cleaning, and setting controls.
• Set up rigging equipment and safely remove and reinstall motors, compressors, and components.
• Knowledge of piping types (copper, black, aluminum, galvanized).
• EPA certifications with Freon experience is a plus.
• Excellent driving record and ability to drive service van/pickup.
• Complete paperwork daily.
• Provide on-call response during assigned week.

Responsibilities

• Provide field support for start-up, preventive, and corrective maintenance within the Jacksonville region.
• Repair and troubleshoot air compressors and related equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints and wiring diagrams to diagnose issues.
• Perform routine maintenance and mechanical adjustments on equipment.
• Set up rigging and safely service motors, compressors, and components.
• Complete service paperwork daily and maintain accurate records.
• Respond to on-call requests as required by the schedule.
