Field Service Technician III

Location: Tewksbury, MA

Duration: 5 Months

Shift: 1st shift 7a-3:30p with some OT (M-F)

Requirements: Experience with pump systems, VFDs, or field diagnostics.

Interview Process

During the interview, candidates will take a series of tests:

• Field service interview questions: general questions related to technician interviews.
• Control Panel Questions: a quiz on understanding electrical schematics for control panels.
• Wiring Diagram FS Interview: analysis of a control schematic to answer quiz questions.

Responsibilities

The Field Service Technician will troubleshoot, service, repair, and maintain Flygt submersible pumps, controls, and support equipment safely and efficiently.

• Disassemble, diagnose, repair, and service Flygt pump equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical and pump systems; repair/rebuild with diagnostic tools.
• Make electrical repairs to control equipment, including motors, VFDs, flowmeters, and PLCs.
• Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and report damages.
• Conduct diagnostic checks using computer technology.
• Test repaired equipment for proper operation and quality.
• Maintain a safe work environment following EHS&S guidelines.
• Operate a service truck and respond to customer repair calls.
• Participate in Watermark volunteer activities.

The role involves outdoor work with exposure to extreme temperatures and machinery. Physical demands include lifting over 50 pounds, walking, sitting, and standing for long hours. Up to 75% local travel, including overnight stays and overtime, may be required.
