Job summary

Verra Mobility is seeking a Field Service Technician II to install, wire, calibrate, analyze and maintain automated traffic enforcement systems, field WAN networks and surveillance gear across the US. The role involves traveling independently to city jobs, working with subcontractors and ATS engineering staff to install red light camera and speed enforcement systems in the field.

Qualifications

• OSHA 10 certification within 60 days from date of hire.
• Minimum 2 years experience troubleshooting and repairing electronic components, 110 volt power and connectivity wiring, computer hardware and data/video cabling.
• Minimum age of 21 for corporate insurance coverage.
• Valid Driver’s license.
• Familiar with wireless devices and associated connectivity.
• Proven track record of configuring and troubleshooting electronic/electrical devices.
• Strong electronics and computer skills for configurations and troubleshooting.
• Proficient with Microsoft Windows operating systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic electrical work, wiring, and troubleshooting of electrical and data connectivity hookups for various equipment.
• Install digital camera systems to street poles, sensors, DSL and wireless communications, power & control box
• Tune/configure red light camera and speed enforcement systems in the field
• Support installation of camera equipment in the field, often with subcontractors
• Plan and manage maintenance routines
• Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair red light camera and speed enforcement system issues
• Provide quality control support
• Prioritize and adhere to processes and checklists
• Maintain records of equipment inventory and service data
• Organize and safeguard truck stock parts and tools
• Communicate with customers and subcontractors in the field
• Maintain a good driving record and company credit card for field expenses
• Conduct site studies for new camera locations using temporary equipment
• Provide technical training to other personnel as requested
• Prioritize, plan and manage time
• May need to testify in court about setup and test results
