Job summary

TransCore (TCI) in Fort Myers, FL, is hiring an ITS Technician II to perform on-site or in-house servicing, repairing and installation of customer equipment including control systems and communications gear.

The role involves preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnostics, and field testing of hardware and software, with a focus on reliability and timely issue resolution. Valid driver’s license and 2–5 years’ related experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or GED.
• 2–5 years of related experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Ability to work at heights over 50 feet.
• Experience with toll collection systems, RFID, ANPR, or traffic control devices is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Installs and maintains equipment including Windows/Linux hardware and video surveillance.
• Diagnoses and repairs hardware, software, and system issues.
• Completes reports and logs; communicates shift-to-shift updates.
• Responds to maintenance requests and alarms within set timeframes.
• Operates company vehicles to travel to sites and perform duties.
• Maintains spare parts inventory and mentors junior technicians.
