Job summary

Ring Power Corporation is seeking an experienced technician in Florida to repair and service Caterpillar machinery. You will disassemble, clean, inspect, test and diagnose components, while controlling costs through accurate estimates and efficient parts sourcing.

You will also handle, under supervision, requisitions, time cards and service reports, monitor expenses, and operate dealer computer systems. A valid driver’s license and 7+ years of hands-on experience are required.

Qualifications

• Formal Education: High School diploma or GED.
• Experience: 7 or more years.
• Must possess a valid Class E Driver’s License.
• Not Required but Highly Desired Criteria: a specialized technical course or equivalent years experience as a Technician preferred.

Responsibilities

• Repairs or replaces defective parts on machinery/equipment.
• Disassembles components and properly clean parts.
• Inspects components to ensure maximum parts are being reused to control repair costs.
• Tests, diagnoses and adjusts failures of equipment.
• Creates repair estimates and submits information to substantiate quotes and estimates.
• Prepares all parts requisitions, time cards, or service reports with detail for accounting needs.
• Monitors job expenses versus repair estimates and flags overruns.
• Demonstrates utilization of dealer computer systems for work orders and documentation.
• Maintains a minimum set of tools required for job performance.
• Works in a neat, orderly, and safe manner; cares for company machines/equipment.
• Maintains personal company service literature and awareness of industry changes.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
