The Field Service Technician II provides advanced technical maintenance, repair, and support services on equipment. This role requires expertise in diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues, along with the ability to guide and support junior technicians. The technician will also collaborate closely with engineering teams to implement solutions and improve product performance. You'll be responsible for installing, operating, maintaining, repairing, and modifying our products and updating and tracking the status of all field related equipment. You'll build and maintain effective relationships with our customers and provide them with onsite training.

Conduct advanced maintenance and repair tasks on aerospace and defense systems.
Lead the installation and commissioning of equipment, ensuring adherence to specifications.
Troubleshoot complex technical issues and collaborate with engineering teams for resolution.
Mentor and provide guidance to junior field service technicians.
Deliver detailed training sessions to customers on equipment operation and maintenance.
Maintain and update comprehensive records of maintenance activities and equipment status.
Ensure all fieldwork complies with safety standards and regulations.
Manage and track inventory of spare parts, tools, and equipment.
Produce detailed technical reports for internal and customer review.
Travel to customer sites as necessary, including potential international locations.

High school diploma or GED equivalent.
1+ years of experience as a technician or in a related field.
Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
Basic understanding of technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals, and/or publications.
Experience using troubleshooting techniques.
Understanding of electrical wiring concepts.
Ability to frequently travel outside the continental US, typically for extended periods of time.
Ability to deploy for an extended amount of time to various OCONUS operating locations.
Ability to meet current DoD and Combatant Command requirements for deployed locations.
Successfully pass a pre-deployment medical assessment.
Associate's degree in a related field of study.
Experience with FCC or FCC General Radio Operator License (GROL).
Prior experience with Security+, Network+, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), and/or A+.
Basic understanding of Spectrometer, Oscilloscope, and/or Pitot Static equipment gauges.
Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense, or US Military.
Experience with software and firmware updates for technical equipment.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
