Job summary
Adaptec Solutions LLC in Painted Post, NY is seeking a Field Service Technician II to keep conveyors, sorters, motors, gearboxes, lifts and other equipment running at peak performance. You will own installations, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and emergency service calls, often solving problems independently while knowing when to escalate.
This role requires travel within the home territory with some overnight work; after one year you may access advanced training (PLC, FANUC, robotics,
Qualifications
- HSD/GED or equivalent is required; vocational or technical school degree preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of troubleshooting and repair of mechanical equipment and 2 years of troubleshooting and repair of electrical equipment.
- Must have valid driver’s license and ability to comply with DOT regulations.
Responsibilities
- Perform installations, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on electro‑mechanical material handling equipment.
- Respond to emergency calls within territory and occasional travel outside home territory.
- Document all work in the service system and communicate issues clearly to clients and leadership.
