Job summary

Evergreen Medical Services (EMS) is seeking a Field Service Technician in Tampa, FL. You will travel daily to hospitals and healthcare facilities to perform medical gas testing, certification, and repair services, while building relationships with customers who rely on EMS for compliant environments.

You will troubleshoot pumps, compressors, manifolds, and small electronics, test medical gas systems, and maintain thorough field documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree a plus.
• Some relevant customer service, mechanical and/or electrical experience preferred.
• Willingness to learn new technical work and strong problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Travel daily to hospitals and healthcare facilities in the Tampa area.
• Perform medical gas compliance testing, certification, and repair services.
• Troubleshoot and repair pumps, compressors, manifolds, and small electronics.
• Test and certify medical gas systems and conduct environmental monitoring.
• Complete field documentation and administrative tasks accurately and on time.

Your Day-to-Day Environment

• Travel daily to customer sites in your assigned territory
• Work independently out of your own company-provided service vehicle
• Lift, carry, and move equipment weighing 50–100lbs while standing and walking for most of the day

What You'll Take Ownership Of

• Travel to hospitals and healthcare facilities to perform medical gas compliance testing, certification, and repair services.
• Troubleshoot and repair pumps, compressors, manifolds, and small electronics.
• Test and certify medical gas systems and perform environmental monitoring services.

What You'll Bring

• High school diploma or equivalent (associate or bachelor's degree is a plus)
• Requires some relevant customer service, mechanical and/or electrical experience
• Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn new technical work
• Additional accreditation and certification will be earned such as ASSE6010, 6030, or 6040
• Experience working in healthcare environments is a plus.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
