Job summary

The Field Service Technician II at Rees Scientific Corporation will install, calibrate, and maintain monitoring equipment at customer facilities. You will troubleshoot, document, and communicate updates to customers, while traveling regionally to ensure high service standards.

Required are strong IT/networking skills, a HS diploma or equivalent, and a history of successful installations. 75 lb lifting and clean driving record are expected; electrical/mechanical experience is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years as a Rees Technician or 3 years industry experience with proven installations.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot monitoring equipment in customer facilities.
  • Verify setup and configuration of Rees equipment in customer environments.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues identified during calibration executions.
  • Perform repairs and maintenance on electronic and mechanical components of Rees systems.
  • Calibrate and inspect equipment to ensure accurate readings and regulatory compliance.
  • Read and interpret schematics, drawings, and technical docs for repairs and maintenance.
  • Use test meters and diagnostic tools to identify malfunctions and perform calibrations.
  • Review job plans before installation and update project status as required.
  • Record data to support IOQ protocols.
  • Maintain inventory of parts and supplies for on-site service.
  • Communicate with customers to provide updates and address inquiries.
  • Collaborate with technical support to resolve complex issues.
  • Travel to various customer facilities within the region to fulfill duties.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

The Field Service Technician will ensure accurate calibrations and efficient execution of tasks, will actively engage with customers to provide updates on annual preventive maintenance and address service-related issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of monitoring equipment used in customer facilities.

  • Utilize a variety of test meters and diagnostic tools to identify equipment malfunctions and perform accurate assessments and calibrations.
  • Responsible for reviewing job plans prior to installation and submitting job status updates in accordance with project requirements.
  • Accountable for recording data to support IOQ protocols.
  • Maintain a well-organized inventory of parts and supplies required for on-site service, ensuring availability for prompt resolution of issues.
  • Communicate with customers to provide project updates, address service-related inquiries, and deliver exceptional customer support.
  • Collaborate with technical support teams to elevate and resolve complex technical challenges.
  • Travel to various customer facilities within the designated region to fulfill job responsibilities, providing timely and reliable service.

  • High school diploma or equivalent; relevant technical certifications or associate degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Rees Technician and / or 3 years industry experience, with a proven track record of successful installations, using problem-solving skills and can think analytically to troubleshoot complex technical issues, and repair Rees monitoring equipment.
  • Experience working with electrical, mechanical, or computer networking equipment.
  • Proficiency in interpreting schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical documentation.
  • Familiarity with a wide range of test meters and diagnostic tools used in electronics and equipment maintenance.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues effectively.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, capable of interacting professionally with customers.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and prioritize tasks to meet service deadlines.
  • Physical ability to lift 75 pounds and climb OSHA approved equipment.
  • Professional appearance and appropriate personal hygiene.
  • A valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and the capability to operate a company or personal vehicle are required.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate records and inventory.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing work environments and requirements.
