Job summary

Avidity Science is seeking a Professional Service Technician I to support customers in the Chicago area, specializing in installation and service of water purification systems. The role emphasizes performing preventative maintenance, commissioning, and training customers on system operation.

Ideal candidates have an associate degree or equivalent trade experience with at least three years of field service experience on electro-mechanical equipment, plus strong communication and problem-solving

Qualifications

• Associate degree or trade experience and at least 3 years' experience servicing, troubleshooting and supporting electrical or electro-mechanical systems at customer facilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic computer networking.

Responsibilities

• Install systems to customer drawings and specifications.
• Interpret drawings and instructions, updating as-built details.
• Supervise contractors during installation to meet schedule and cost targets.
• Provide initial system training to customers and ongoing support.
• Report job status daily to installation coordinators and project managers.
• Perform preventative maintenance and provide warranty, emergency, and after-hours service.
