Job summary

TDCJ - Connally in Kenedy, TX seeks a Field Service Technician I to travel to facilities and maintain, repair and support tablets and related equipment. This role may be onsite, hybrid or roving, providing both technical and administrative support to customers and partners in correctional environments.

Responsibilities include setting up tablets, repairing devices, troubleshooting, updating software, training staff and inmates on proper use, and maintaining inventory and coordination with

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience with Windows OS and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Travel to facilities to maintain, repair and resolve issues on company products and tablets.
• Set up and maintain tablets for users; repair phones, kiosk, video terminals, WAPs and tablets.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for tablets; ensure security measures are in place.
• Assist with software updates and installations on tablets; manage user accounts and access.
• Coordinate tablet usage schedules with staff; train incarcerated individuals on using tablets.
• Maintain inventory and assets; communicate with dispatchers for job assignments and ETAs.
