Job summary

Qualus is seeking a Field Service Technician I to support our Field Services team. This role performs testing, maintenance and repair of low and medium voltage equipment in both shop and field environments, with up to 50% overnight travel.

Responsibilities include testing breakers and transformers, wiring, reading schematics, documenting results in Power DB, and communicating clearly with customers. A High School Diploma and 1–5 years of related experience are required; NETA 2–4 preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–5 years in commercial/industrial maintenance.
• 2+ years industrial power systems testing preferred.
• NETA 2/3/4 preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.

Responsibilities

• Performing testing on low and medium voltage breakers including Megger, Ductor, Hi-Pot, Hi-Current, and Timing tests.
• Completing mechanical work and repairs on breakers and switches, including tear down, refurbishment and parts replacement.
• Wiring circuit breakers.
• Utilizing and accurately reading test equipment.
• Reading schematics and wiring drawings.
• Troubleshooting circuit breaker controls.
• Reading and plotting time-current curves.
• Testing transformers, including Power Factor and TTR.
• Accurately and consistently documenting using Power DB.
