Job summary

Caterpillar is hiring an entry level Field Service Technician I for SPM Oil & Gas to deliver, install, troubleshoot, test and repair pressure control equipment at customer locations. This is an entry-level role with routine tasks under close supervision.

Compensation starts at $21.90 per hour with potential to increase to $29.30 hourly. Typical schedule is Mon–Fri, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, with 24/7 on-call duties and possible extended hours.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude and the ability to learn and apply technical equipment operation and maintenance.
• One to two years of experience and/or training; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
• Must be authorized to operate a company vehicle
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Have a clean driving record: no more than two moving violations in the last 12 months, and no more than three in the past 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing JSAs (Job Safety Analysis) to support safe work planning.
• Perform duties in line with SPM Oil & Gas safety policies.
• Adhere to Stop Work Authority and follow location safety protocols.
• Conduct pre-checks on equipment and processes to ensure operability.
• Install, remove, maintain, test, and repair frac and drilling equipment at customer sites.
• Operate equipment per SPM guidelines and SOPs.
• Inspect, repair, rebuild, test, and troubleshoot equipment; suggest improvements.
• Prepare field service documentation clearly and accurately.
