Job summary

Caterpillar is hiring a Field Service Technician I with SPM Oil & Gas to deliver, install, troubleshoot, test and repair pressure control equipment at customer locations. This entry level position involves routine tasks under supervision and requires a safety-first mindset.

The role emphasizes on-site service on drilling rigs or well sites with a 7:00 AM–5:00 PM weekday schedule, 24/7 on-call, and potential overtime. Relocation is not offered and sponsorship is not provided.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Have a clean driving record, no more than 2 moving violations in 12 months and no more than 3 in 3 years.
• One to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Observe JSA and POWRA on job site and perform duties safely per SHE policies.
• Adhere to Stop Work Authority and Management of Change.
• Assist Field Service Technicians in safe installation, removal, repair and service of equipment on a drilling rig or well site.
• Provide superior customer service to internal and external customers.
• Maintain company assets and site equipment per policy.
• Learn to prepare accurate field service and sales orders.
• Promote and represent SPM Oil and Gas in field service and sales.
• Maintain a professional appearance and work attitude at all times.
• Be available for 24-hour call to respond to customer needs.
