Job summary

Technical Safety Services (TSS) is seeking a Field Service Technician to perform on-site testing, certification, calibration, and repairs in lab and cleanroom environments. You will travel to customer sites in your territory and operate a company-provided service vehicle.

This role emphasizes customer communication, independence, and hands-on problem solving, with hands-on training, mentorship, and clear paths for career advancement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (associate or bachelor’s degree is a plus).
• Background in customer service and some mechanical or electrical experience.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and willingness to learn new technical work.
• Good communication, basic math skills, and comfort using Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work independently, manage your time, and travel (including some overnights).
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform testing, certification, calibration, and repairs across different lab environments with a strong focus on quality.
• Work directly with clients to understand their needs, communicate clearly, and make sure the job is done right.
• Build strong relationships and be the main point of contact for customers on site.
• Complete reports and required paperwork on time to keep projects on track and clients updated.

Your Day‑to‑Day Environment

• Travel daily to customer sites in your assigned territory, driving about 30–300 miles per day
• Work independently out of your own company‑provided service vehicle
• Lift, carry, and move equipment weighing 50–100 lbs while standing and walking for most of the day

What You’ll Take Ownership Of

• Perform testing, certification, calibration, and repairs across different lab environments with a strong focus on quality
