Job summary

Exotic Automation & Supply seeks a Mobile/Field Service Technician to support customer repairs and service calls in the New Hudson, MI area. The role includes hose assembly and installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and reporting.

You will ensure accurate documentation, coordinate vehicle upkeep, and maintain product knowledge to advise on value-added services. A valid driver’s license and MS Office experience are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• Previous work experience in an industrial sales environment preferred.
• Valid chauffer’s license is required.
• Experience using MS Office and POS/Business System is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer repair/service calls and document actions.
• Perform hydraulic hose assembly and installation for customer applications.
• Complete maintenance, repair, and service tasks within assigned areas.
• Troubleshoot technical problems and implement effective solutions.
• Maintain vehicle and inventory, and coordinate maintenance per DOT where applicable.
• Complete required documentation and generate reports in a timely manner.

General Summary:

Performs the day-to-day operations of the Mobile/Field Service Technician responsibilities ensuring delivery of excellent customer service. Related activities include, but are not limited to, responding to customer repair and/or service calls, completing reports, and performing inventory maintenance on truck

Essential Job Functions:

Field Service & Technical Operations

• Performs hydraulic hose assembly and installation for customer applications
• Completes maintenance, repair, and/or service work for all assigned jobs within assigned area(s) of expertise
• Troubleshoots technical problems and identifies and implements effective solutions

Product Knowledge & Customer Service

• Maintains comprehensive knowledge of available products, offerings, and services
• Identifies and recommends products and/or value-added services to customers to support their needs and maximize the Exotic Advantage

Documentation & Reporting

• Completes required documentation accurately and generates reports in a timely manner

Vehicle & Inventory Management

• Conducts routine vehicle maintenance including weekly washes and nightly interior cleanliness
• Coordinates all vehicle maintenance work with the Facilities department
• Schedules and inspects assigned vehicle per DOT requirements (where applicable)

Supplemental Job Functions:

• Performs other duties as assigned or requested.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

• High School Diploma
• Previous work experience (industrial sales environment preferred)
• Valid chauffer’s license
• Previous experience working on a computer--MS Office and POS/Business System preferred
