Job summary

Exotic Automation & Supply seeks a Mobile/Field Service Technician to perform day-to-day field operations, delivering excellent customer service. Responsibilities include hydraulic hose assembly, maintenance and repair, troubleshooting, and meticulous reporting.

You will maintain product knowledge, assist customers with product recommendations, and ensure vehicle upkeep and DOT compliance where applicable. Valid driver's license required; prior industrial service experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required or equivalent.
• Experience in an industrial sales/field-service environment is preferred.
• Valid chauffeur’s license is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform hydraulic hose assembly and installation for customer applications.
• Complete maintenance, repair, and service work within assigned area(s) of expertise.
• Troubleshoot technical problems and implement effective solutions.
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of products, offerings and services.
• Complete required documentation accurately and generate reports in a timely manner.
• Coordinate vehicle maintenance with Facilities and schedule inspections per DOT requirements where applicable.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

General Summary:

Performs the day-to-day operations of the Mobile/Field Service Technician responsibilities ensuring delivery of excellent customer service. Related activities include, but are not limited to, responding to customer repair and/or service calls, completing reports, and performing inventory maintenance on truck

Essential Job Functions:

Field Service & Technical Operations

• Performs hydraulic hose assembly and installation for customer applications
• Completes maintenance, repair, and/or service work for all assigned jobs within assigned area(s) of expertise
• Troubleshoots technical problems and identifies and implements effective solutions

Product Knowledge & Customer Service

• Maintains comprehensive knowledge of available products, offerings, and services
• Identifies and recommends products and/or value-added services to customers to support their needs and maximize the Exotic Advantage

Documentation & Reporting

• Completes required documentation accurately and generates reports in a timely manner

Vehicle & Inventory Management

• Conducts routine vehicle maintenance including weekly washes and nightly interior cleanliness
• Coordinates all vehicle maintenance work with the Facilities department
• Schedules and inspects assigned vehicle per DOT requirements (where applicable)

• Performs other duties as assigned or requested.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

• High School Diploma
• Previous work experience (industrial sales environment preferred)
• Valid chauffer’s license
• Previous experience working on a computer--MS Office and POS/Business System preferred
