A Horizontal Pump System Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of horizontal pump systems (HPS) used in industrial, water treatment, oil & gas, and other process environments.
This role requires both mechanical and electrical skills to ensure pumps operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with industry standards.
Ensure job deliverables are accurate and delivered on time.
Responsible for service delivery execution including installation of horizontal pumps, troubleshooting and perform service inspection.
Perform system testing, test pumps for proper flow, pressure and efficiency.
Participate in job risk analysis and continual improvement programs.
Develop customer contacts to promote company products and services.
Ensure company and regulatory standard compliance by implementing the CAT, self‑assessments, and well‑site inspections.
Participate in Service Quality Meetings with customers and improve performance using action plans.
Participate in HSE and Quality initiatives.
Wear PPE and observe HSE policies.
Maintain the required safety training.
Work a minimum of 8 hours per day, and available to work overtime as required to meet business needs. Works both in the shop and on‑site at customer locations. May be required to drive for long periods of time Operates in industrial or process environments, often outdoors or in confined spaces. Requires ability to work under pressure, including emergency on‑call situations Role is deemed safety‑sensitive and may be subject to employer or customer drug testing. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
The employee is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: visual inspection involving small defects, small parts and/or operation of machines (including inspection), using measurement devices, and/or assembly or fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes. The employee is required to have visual acuity to operate motor vehicles. The employee is required to have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, thoroughness of work assigned or to make general observations of facilities or structures. Indoor and outdoor environmental conditions. Activities occur indoors and outdoors. Extreme heat. Temperatures above 100 degrees for periods of more than one hour. Consideration should be given to the effect of other environmental conditions, such as wind and humidity. Hazards. Includes a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current or exposure to chemicals. Atmospheric conditions. One or more of the following conditions that affect the respiratory system or the skin: fumes, odors, dust, mists, gases, or poor ventilation. Oils. There is air and/or skin exposure to oils and other cutting fluids.
