Job summary

ChampionX, now part of SLB, seeks an experienced maintenance electrician for our Tulsa manufacturing facility. You will diagnose and repair electrical systems, perform preventative maintenance, and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to keep production equipment running smoothly.

The role requires strong math, documentation, and communication skills, plus experience with PLC logic and automated machinery. This position supports a safety-focused culture and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent required with Department of Labor Certification OR Associates degree from an accredited program in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or a related field or equivalent education and/or experience.
  • 2 years of experience in a similar manufacturing role.
  • Good oral and written communication skills, including the ability to follow written and oral instructions.
  • Good math and analytical skills.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

  • Uses mastery of electrician trades skills and knowledge to diagnose and solve electrical problems in manufacturing equipment, machines, and equipment.
  • Creates and assembles components and installs them as required.
  • Performs preventative maintenance.
  • Documents maintenance and repairs as required.
  • Interacts with other trades and work areas to complete assignments; provides technical electrical expertise to mechanics, facilities, and other teams.
  • Calibrates eddy current inspection equipment and builds coils for same.
  • Designs electrical and electronic equipment.
  • Edits program changes in automated machines using PLC logic.
  • Maintains parts and materials inventory for electronic equipment.
  • Ensures proper heat control on heat-treating furnaces.

What You Will Do:

  • Facilitates repair of electrical and electronic equipment, induction heating.
  • Design electrical and electronic equipment.
  • Edit program changes in automated machines using PLC logic.
  • Maintain parts and materials inventory for electronic equipment.
  • Formulates maintenance of computer programming.
  • Calibrating eddy current inspection equipment and building coils for same.
  • Ensure proper heat control on heat-treating furnaces.
  • Check calibration of measuring devices on RMC.
  • Contributes to the department continuous improvement culture.
  • Knows and complies with all safety policies and procedures.
  • Maintains a clean and well-organized work area.
  • Maintains confidentiality of all matters.
  • Other duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent required with Department of Labor Certification OR Associates degree from an accredited program in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or a related field or equivalent education and/or experience.
  • 2 years of experience in a similar manufacturing role.
  • Good oral and written communication skills, including the ability to follow written and oral instructions.

Physical Demands:

Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs regularly. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee must be able to regularly bend, stoop, crawl, lay down, twist and push. The employee is required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment including but not limited to shoes/boots, hard hats, or respirators.
