Job summary

Blanchard Machinery in West Columbia, SC is seeking a Field Service Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair heavy equipment both in the shop and at customer sites.

The role requires 3+ years of heavy equipment experience, a valid CDL, and strong problem-solving and communication skills. Training is provided and safety is a priority in a team-focused environment.

You will work with CAT equipment and have opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• 3+ years of experience working on heavy equipment.
• Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and diesel-powered equipment.
• Perform basic troubleshooting on electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Install or replace repair parts and test equipment.
• Prepare service reports, parts requisitions, and timecards.
• Maintain the service truck and drive to customer sites.
• Ensure safe operations and compliance with safety procedures.
