Job summary

CraneWorks is seeking a Field Service Technician in Las Vegas, NV to inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain crane equipment including mobile cranes. The role requires mechanical experience with electrical and hydraulic systems, strong safety discipline, and customer-facing communication. Travel 1–4 day intervals is expected; overtime and weekend work may be required.

CDL preferred. The position falls under the Service department with hourly, non-exempt status and includes a company truck,

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as Mobile Crane Mechanic/Technician diagnosing crane defects.
• Experience with CANBUS, PAT, EKS, ECOS, LICCON, and Greer systems.
• Ability to read operating manuals, parts manuals, blueprints and technical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, repair and maintain crane equipment including mobile cranes.
• Operate and inspect cranes; verify defects and proper operation after repair.
• Test mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and electronic systems per OEM specs.
• Complete part checks, drawings verification, and accurate reporting.
• Maintain safety compliance and complete paperwork on time.
• Travel periodically (1–4 days) and possible overtime or weekend work.

Job Summary:This position will inspect, diagnose, repair, and perform maintenance on various crane equipment including mobile cranes (All Terrain, Rough Terrain, Crawler Cranes, Boom Trucks, knuckle booms, bucket trucks, etc.). Mechanical experience required with electrical and hydraulics. It is part of this role's responsibility to help grow the business by identifying new opportunities and contributing to the development of customer relationships and market presence. Key Responsibilities:

• A minimum 2 years of experience as a Mobile Crane Mechanic/Technician that can operate and inspect cranes in order to diagnose defects
• Demonstrates working knowledge of CANBUS, PAT, EKS, ECOS, LICCON, and Greer systems
• Examines parts for damage or excessive wear using micrometers and gauges
• Reads and understands operating manuals, parts manuals, blueprints and technical drawings
• Tests mechanical, electronic, electrical and hydraulic products and equipment after repair or modification to ensure proper operation and compliance with OEM specifications
• Prepares for jobs by checking parts and drawings for accuracy and completeness
• Capable of accomplishing tasks independently without direct supervision
• Maintain conformity to safety requirements, manufacturer procedures, and other regulations
• Properly fills out working reports, hours reports, time sheets, hours overviews, work orders, and other company and customer paperwork in a timely and efficient manner
• Must complete expense reports in timely manner as dictated by the company policy
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work overtime as well as on weekends is a plus. Travel is required periodically for 1 to 4-day intervals for field techs. Our shop technicians work anywhere from 40 to 50 hours a week depending on immediate needs and our field technicians work anywhere from 40 to 80 hours a week depending on customer needs
• Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record required for field technician positions CDL Preferred

Preferred Qualifications: History of working with different forms of mobile crane equipment, specifically Grove RT and TMS Cranes; Grove GMK European Cranes; Manitowoc, Liebherr, Terex, Palfinger, IMT, Cormach, National, Demag, Manitex, etc.
