Job summary

Kinsley Power Systems is seeking Field Service Technicians to service standby generators across the Northeast. If you have experience with engines, electrical systems, or heavy equipment, you may thrive in this role.

We provide specialized training to help you transition into the power generation industry and build a long-term, rewarding career. Responsibilities include preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, quotes, and on-call rotations.

Qualifications

• Mechanically inclined with strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to diagnose and repair standby generator systems.
• Excellent communication with customers and coworkers.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on standby generators (8kW-1MW).
• Troubleshoot, test, and start-up generators; perform load-bank tests.
• Prepare accurate repair quotes and submit work orders.
• Operate on a rotating on-call schedule.
• Must provide own tools and maintain safety standards (OSHA 10 preferred).

Key Responsibilities and Preferred Experience:

• Performing preventative maintenance and repairs on standby generator systems (Ranging from 8kW-1mW)


• Troubleshooting, diagnostic testing, load-bank testing and start-ups on generators


• Preparing accurate quotes for repairs and completing/submitting work orders


• Previous experience working on residential or industrial generators


• Exceptional communication and customer service skills


• The ability to participate in an on call, rotating schedule


• Must provide your own tools (multi-meter, hand-tools, etc.)


• Very safety focused with an OSHA 10 (or the ability to attain one)


• Valid DOT Card (or the ability to attain one) and a valid driver’s license
