Job summary

Kinsley Power Systems is hiring Field Service Technicians to service standby generators across the Northeast. You’ll perform maintenance and repairs on 8kW to 1MW systems, troubleshoot, diagnose, and prepare quotes while delivering excellent customer service.

We provide specialized training, a supportive family-owned culture, company vehicle with gas card, and opportunities for advancement. A safety-first mindset with OSHA 10 and a valid DOT card are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience servicing standby generators 8kW–1MW and related systems.
• Strong communication and customer service skills are essential.
• Willingness to participate in on-call, rotating schedule.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on standby generator systems (8kW–1MW).
• Troubleshoot, perform diagnostic testing, load-bank tests and startups.
• Prepare accurate quotes and submit work orders.
• Maintain safety standards with OSHA 10 certification and DOT compliance.

Key Responsibilities and Preferred Experience:

• Performing preventative maintenance and repairs on standby generator systems (Ranging from 8kW‑1mW)


• Troubleshooting, diagnostic testing, load‑bank testing and start‑ups on generators


• Preparing accurate quotes for repairs and completing/submitting work orders


• Previous experience working on residential or industrial generators


• Exceptional communication and customer service skills


• The ability to participate in an on call, rotating schedule


• Must provide your own tools (multi‑meter, hand‑tools, etc.)


• Very safety focused with an OSHA 10 (or the ability to attain one)


• Valid DOT Card (or the ability to attain one) and a valid driver’s license
