Job summary

Kinsley Power Systems is seeking Field Service Technicians to service standby generators across the Northeast. You’ll work on engines, electrical systems and heavy equipment, with training provided to transition into the power-generation industry. The role emphasizes safety, customer service, and growth within a family‑like team.

Qualifications

• Experience servicing engines, electrical systems or heavy equipment.
• Ability to perform preventative maintenance and repairs on generator systems.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Must be able to participate in an on-call rotating schedule.
• OSHA 10 certification or ability to obtain one; valid DOT card or ability to obtain one; valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on standby generator systems (8kW-1MW).
• Troubleshooting, diagnostic testing, load-bank testing and start-ups on generators.
• Prepare accurate quotes for repairs and submit work orders.
• Previous experience with residential or industrial generators.
• Maintain strong customer communication and service quality.
• Participate in an on-call rotating schedule.

Key Responsibilities And Preferred Experience

• Performing preventative maintenance and repairs on standby generator systems (Ranging from 8kW-1mW)
• Troubleshooting, diagnostic testing, load‑bank testing and start‑ups on generators
• Preparing accurate quotes for repairs and completing/submitting work orders
• Previous experience working on residential or industrial generators
• Exceptional communication and customer service skills
• The ability to participate in an on call, rotating schedule
• Must provide your own tools (multi‑meter, hand‑tools, etc.)
• Very safety focused with an OSHA 10 (or the ability to attain one)
• Valid DOT Card (or the ability to attain one) and a valid driver’s license
