Responsibilities include diagnosing malfunctions, replacing parts, and ensuring safety compliance while documenting work. The role requires reading, reporting, and clear communication with customers.

Qualifications

• Reads job orders and observes diagnoses of lift trucks to plan work procedures.
• Writes service reports documenting work performed.
• Effectively presents information to customers and colleagues.
• Maintains safety by following procedures and alerts.
• Performs unit conversions and measurements using whole numbers, fractions and decimals.

Responsibilities

• Reads job order and observes, listens, and diagnoses all types of lift trucks in operation to determine malfunction to plan work procedures.
• Installs new ignition systems, changes or recharges batteries, and replaces transmission and other parts.
• Examines protective guards, loose bolts, and safety devices; makes adjustments.
• Lubricates moving parts and drives repaired truck to verify conformance to specifications.
• Fabricates attachments and hydraulic shields per blueprints or drawings.
• Remove and rebuild transmissions and differentials.
• Remove and replace engines.
• Perform complete brake repairs and adjustments.
• Diagnose and repair hydraulic systems.
• Repair documentation completed and submitted daily.
• Drive to customers’ location.
